Sasha was born In Penza, Russia to musician parents Yelena and Alexey. In 1992 the family moved to Israel where, as a child, Sasha was in a folk dancing group, a singer at the “Rekefet” children's choir, and an acting student at the “Wizzo” high school for arts in Haifa. Sasha also explored photography with a vintage ZENIT camera she owned and took drawing lessons focusing on minimalism and sketches.

After high school, Sasha served as a soloist in the IDF Air Force band. Meanwhile, she auditioned for the Israeli version of "American Idol," got in, and reached the semi finals. She then moved to Tel-Aviv and started working as a professional actress and singer. As Sasha fell more in love with acting, she decided to pursue it full time and develop her craft, which brought her to study at The Atlantic Acting School in NYC for two years.

Looking to explore acting and more of the US, Sasha landed in Chicago where she shot her first Indie feature “Faith In Destiny” with the award winning director and producer, James Choi, played Madam in “The Maids” at the Oracle Theatre, produced a music video for her favorite band 'Fink' and started writing songs again, for the first time in English.

After two years in Chicago Sasha realized New York was truly where she wanted to be and headed back to Brooklyn to start working on her new music project. Not long after her return she met Dov Igel, another Brooklyn-based Russian-Israeli singer-songwriter. A deep friendship and meaningful music collaboration formed between them.

After two years performing in New York, touring the Mid-West, southern United States, Israel and Canada, Sasha recorded her debut album at The Bunker Studios in Brooklyn with Dov and fellow musicians, Mathias Kunzli and Max Oleartchick. Production was completed in LA with Dov and a childhood friend and music producer, Anna "Annalog" Feller.  Sasha's debut E.P. "Compass" was released in June of 2015.

In the past year Sasha and Dov has embarked on a journey with their new indie-pop duo called Sasha & The Bear. The pair has released a couple of songs and gained attention from big music blogs and Spotify playlists. They are currently writing and recording new songs while playing secret shows with Sofar Sounds around NY.
